SRC Project Insight: Bristol Temple Meads
SRC Infrastructure are currently undertaking GRIP 4/Concept Design works at Bristol Temple Meads Station for the Station Information and Security Systems (SISS) equipment. The works are being undertaken on behalf of Thales Ground Transportation Systems who are scheduled to overhaul the communications system with the replacement of Customer Information Screens (CIS), CCTV and PAVA systems, with the implementation of a number of new communications systems 'nodes'.
SRC are tasked with designing Low Voltage (LV) power supply distribution systems to enable the introduction of new SISS equipment. Our engineers were able to call on extensive experience of designing E&M and LV power systems, gained by undertaking numerous similar commissions over the last 18 years. The designs must conform to the latest British and Network Rail standards and are being approved by an in-house CRE.
Pat Keegan, Executive Director of Engineering, said "I would like to thank Anthony Adamson and the team for their excellent work on this project. The complexity of the 13-platform and Grade I listed station mean that the design is being integrated with other works and is being produced to the highest quality".
